A Study on Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Immunization of mother¢¥s toward to in one Rural area of Korea.


Abstract
This survey study was conducted to find out the status of knowledge, attitude and practice of mother¢¥s forward to immunization injection for their last child.
The survey areas were included one city and 12 guns of Kyunggi Province and the subjects were 2,232 mothers of 20 to 49 years of age group.
A designed questionnaire and interviewing mother¢¥s were used and a group of nursing school students participated for this survey.
The results of this survey were as follows:
1. Eighty four percents of the subjects were received B. C.G injection for their last child and 81 percents of them had correct knowledge on B. C. G and 96 percents of them believed that B. C. G is an effective method for tuberculosis prevention.
2. Seventy percents of the subjects received Lirgen injection and 94 percents of them had correct knowledge on Lirgen and 96 percents of them believed the drug is effective.
3. Seventy five percents of the subjects received D.P T injection and 86 percents of them possessed correct knowledge on D. P. T and 96 percents of them believed D. P. T as on effective drug.
4. Seventy nine percents-of the subjects received small pox vaccination and 96 percents of them knew Small pox vaccination correctly and 97 percents of them believed that it is an effective method.
5. Sixty percents of the subjects received typhoid vaccination and 95 percents of them had correct knowledge or, typhoid and 95 percents of them believed the vaccination as an effective.
6. Seventy seven percents of the subjects received poliomyelitis vaccination and 96 percents of them had correct knowledge on poliomyelitis vaccination and 95 percents of them believed the drug is effective.
7. Sixty one percents of the subjects received vaccination services at the health centers or health sub-centers and 33.9 percents of them utilized private doctor¢¥s clinics or hospitals.
8. The subjects answered that they obtained knowledge and information on immunization¢¥ by the public health personnel (physician P. x. N. ects); 23 percents, by the hospital doctors and nurses. ; 23.8 percents, by mass communications. ; 21.5 percents, by books and magazines ; 16.2 percents.
